Mike Stees
Pug Fancy
This is Mike's 4th AIDS Lifecycle - his 3rd as a Roadie.
Mike was unavailable to write his bio, so he asked his 15-year old Pug, Reddy, to
write it for him. Unfortunately, Reddy is what's known in the world of literature
as an "unreliable narrator." Most of what she wrote was illegible and, as far as
we can tell, just a repeated and increasingly adamant request for food. After several
attempts to communicate, she curled up underneath Mike's desk and slept for most
of the day, waking up only briefly to gum her dinner. She then went outside, had
a nice poop and settled back down for the evening.
When he's not taking Reddy on walks or keeping his voice down during one of her
many naps, Mike is a graphic designer working out of his home in the SOMA area of
San Francisco. Though he is known as an exacting perfectionist (he designed the
"Rest Stop 4" graphics you see on this site), the final stamp of approval for his
work falls to his dog. She likes "bright colors and not a lot of words," as she
is nearly completely blind.
Mike and Reddy can't wait for AIDS Lifecycle 7. Mike is looking forward to the experience.
Reddy is looking forward to some damn peace and quiet.
